Concerning the rules of importation:

For personal use, you can import a maximum of 10 products, however, the same product cannot be present more than 4 times (e.g. 4 packets of Barilla Penne Rigate pasta and 2 Nestlé White Chocolate 180g bars, but you cannot import 6 Nestlé White Chocolate 180g bars). For commercial use, an import license must be requested from the Ministry of Health.

For alcoholic beverages, the import is allowed within the limit of one liter of alcohol per delivery, an import license may be requested from the recipient. Alcoholic beverages are also heavily taxed (about 70% of their value).

Customs may also request an importer's registration/identification number from the consignee for customs clearance. (Examples: EIN, SSN, VAT, GST, RFC, etc.).
