Native to India and common in North Africa and Turkey, the coral lentil is a member of the legume family.

It is a variety of shelled lentil with a beautiful orange color before cooking, becoming beige once cooked.
Besides its fine taste, the coral lentil has the advantage of cooking very quickly because it is already shelled.

It can be eaten hot or in a salad, alone or with a cereal for a more complete dish.

Personally, my children love it in mashed potatoes.
