The sardines have been prepared here with whiskey, small onions and mustard. Other ingredients include lemon juice, pepper and olive oil.

If you want to go off the beaten track of cooking, you can make this recipe from Penmarc'h: a quiche with sardine fillet. Nothing could be simpler, after having spread the bottom of the tart with the sardine delicacy, place four onions (after having melted them for 10 minutes in butter and sugar) on the sardine delicacy and add some old-fashioned sardine fillets. On this preparation pour the mixture of 25cl of fresh cream and two eggs, then bake for 20 minutes at 200°.
